The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation will auction 52 commercial, residential, agricultural, and mixed-use lots via electronic public bidding on January 22-23, 2025.
Bidders can submit offers through the PDIC e-bidding portal, https://assetsforsale.pdic.gov.ph, starting at 9 a.m. on January 22 until 1 p.m. on January 23. Bids will be opened at 2 p.m. on January 23.
The properties, which are being sold on an as-is-where-is basis, include 38 residential lots, eight vacant agricultural lots, three agricultural lots with improvements, two vacant residential/agricultural lots, and one commercial lot with improvements. Lot sizes range from 13 square meters to 46,994 square meters.
Interested parties must register at http://assetsforsale.pdic.gov.ph/Account/Register to join the bidding. Registered users can submit bids online and view the proceedings by selecting the “Assets for Sale” icon on the PDIC homepage, www.pdic.gov.ph.
The e-bidding portal provides a detailed catalog of properties, bidding requirements, procedures, and terms. Prospective buyers are urged to review these conditions and verify the status, ownership, and condition of their desired properties.
Winning bidders of agricultural properties must submit a Certification from the Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer of the Department of Agrarian Reform within 15 days after the auction. This document should confirm that the lot is not covered by the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program and has no Emancipation Patent or Certificate of Land Ownership Award issued.
Additionally, winning bidders must submit an Affidavit of Aggregate Landholdings within the same period, certifying that their total landholdings, including the newly acquired property, do not exceed the five-hectare legal limit. Templates for the Certification and Affidavit are available in the Download Center of the e-bidding portal.
Participants representing others, such as organizations or individuals, can access Pro-forma Special Power of Attorney and Secretary’s Certificate templates from the same portal.
As the statutory receiver of closed banks, the PDIC liquidates assets to maximize recovery and settle creditors’ claims, including depositors with uninsured accounts. Proceeds from the sale of these properties go into a fund managed by the PDIC to pay these claims.
