PDIC puts 68 Luzon properties up for e-bidding
MAKATI CITY — The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corp. will offer 68 properties in Luzon, including three commercial properties, through electronic public bidding from Sept. 16 to 17.
Bids may be submitted through PDIC’s Assets for Sale e-bidding portal from 9 a.m. Sept. 16 until 1 p.m. Sept. 17, with bids scheduled to be opened at 2 p.m. Sept. 17.
PDIC’s official assets portal lists the public bidding for Sept. 17, 2026.
The three commercial properties are in Malolos City, Bulacan; Calamba City, Laguna; and Alaminos City, Pangasinan.
The Malolos City property provides access to the city’s growing commercial and urban centers.
The Calamba City property is along Mayapa-Canlubang Road, a corridor connecting key industrial areas, including Silangan Industrial Park.
The Alaminos City property is along Olongapo-Bugallon Road, providing access to the national highway and major business hubs in Pangasinan.
The e-bidding will also cover 65 other assets comprising 34 agricultural properties, 22 residential properties, and nine mixed residential-agricultural properties.
The properties have lot areas ranging from 189 square meters to 3.9 hectares, offering options for individual buyers, developers, agribusiness investors, and commercial enterprises.
The properties are in Albay, Aurora, Bataan, Batangas, Benguet, Bulacan, Ilocos Norte, Isabela, Laguna, La Union, Palawan, Pangasinan, Rizal, Tarlac, and Zambales.
The public bidding is open to qualified buyers who register through PDIC’s e-bidding portal.
Prospective buyers must complete a one-time registration through the Assets for Sale portal to participate in the Sept. 16–17 bidding and future asset disposal activities.
The portal also provides the complete property catalog, detailed property information, bidding guidelines, and documentary requirements.
Participants bidding on behalf of another person or an organization may download the prescribed Special Power of Attorney and Secretary’s Certificate forms from the portal.
The properties will be sold on an “as is, where is” basis, and bidders are encouraged to conduct due diligence on each property’s physical condition, status, and ownership before submitting bids.
Participants should also review the Conditions of Bid posted on the portal to ensure compliance with bidding procedures.
Successful bidders for agricultural properties must submit an Affidavit of Aggregate Landholdings and a certification from the Department of Agrarian Reform’s provincial agrarian reform officer within 15 days of the e-bidding.
The certification must state that the property is not covered by the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program and that no Emancipation Patent or Certificate of Land Ownership Award has been issued.
The affidavit must also confirm that the bidder’s aggregate landholdings, including the property acquired through the bidding, remain within the 5-hectare legal limit.
Standard templates for the two documents are available through the Download Center on PDIC’s Assets for Sale portal.
As statutory receiver of closed banks, PDIC liquidates their remaining assets to maximize recoveries and help settle creditors’ claims, including those of depositors with uninsured deposits.
Proceeds from the sale of properties owned by closed banks go to funds managed by PDIC for those banks and are used to settle creditors’ claims.
Proceeds from the sale of PDIC corporate assets are added to the Deposit Insurance Fund, which finances valid deposit insurance claims.
For additional context, PDIC’s maximum deposit insurance coverage is PHP 1 million per depositor, per bank, effective since March 15, 2025.
Interested buyers in Metro Manila may contact the PDIC Public Assistance Department at (02) 8841-4141 during office hours.
