BACOLOD CITY – More than half a million pesos worth of suspected shabu was seized by police from three individuals in a buy-bust operation in Abada Escay, Barangay Vista Alegre, last Sunday.
Operatives of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) Special Operations Unit (SOU)-6 arrested the suspects, aged 35, 47, and 50, all residents of the village.
Police seized 110 grams of suspected shabu worth P748,000 from the three suspects.
Police Captain Greeky Cayao, head of Police Station 7, said they would check the records of the suspects to determine if they had previous offenses.
All three suspects are detained at Police Station 7.
Meanwhile, a job order casual employee and his companion were also apprehended in a drug bust in Barangay E. Lopez, Silay City, last Saturday.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Mark Anthony Darroca, city police chief, said the 52-year-old government employee, who is assigned as a watchman, had been warned last April, but he continued his alleged illegal activity.
He was reported to the authorities by his relatives, according to Darroca.
Darroca said the suspect’s 24-year-old companion served as an alleged spotter of customers in the area.
Police seized 14 grams of suspected shabu worth P95,200 and the P2,500 marked money from them.
