BACOLOD City – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Negros Occidental and Police Station 2 here seized P408,000 worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust at Barangay 1 last Friday.
The operation also resulted in the arrest of Jobel Villasis, a high-value target, according to PDEA.
Six sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 60 grams, and the P300 marked money were recovered from the suspect.
Police said Villasis’ companion escaped.
Meanwhile, P11,070 worth of suspected shabu and suspected marijuana were confiscated in separate buy-bust operations in Negros Occidental over the weekend.
The operations were conducted in the cities of La Carlota, Cadiz, Himamaylan, Bago, and the towns of Manapla, Hinigaran, Toboso, Cauayan, and Murcia.
All suspects will be facing drug charges.
