BACOLOD City – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Negros Occidental and the local police seized an estimated P563,300 worth of illegal drugs in five buy-bust operations here and in two cities in the province last Aug 28, 2019.
PDEA arrested Raniel Rivera in a drug bust at Barangay Bata, which resulted in the recovery of 55 grams of suspected shabu worth P374,000.
PDEA-Negros Occidental head Nicolas Gomez said Rivera is a high value target, because of the seizure of more than 50 grams of illegal drugs from him.
The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) also confiscated P49,300 worth of suspected shabu from two persons, including a drug surrenderrer, in the areas of Barangays Vista Alegre and Sum-ag.
Also seized in the province were P140,000 worth of the same contraband. Silay City Police Station confiscated P90,000 worth of suspected shabu from a man, while Kabankalan City Police Station recovered P50,000 worth of illegal drugs from two persons.
