ROXAS CITY, Capiz — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Capiz and Aklan confiscated P102,000 worth of suspected shabu from a suspected drug den during a buy-bust operation Sunday afternoon on Railway St. Barangay Punta Tabuc, Roxas City.
The operatives identified the suspects as Ryan Tiempo, 34, of Brgy V; Ralph Aninacion Losanta, 18, of Brgy Punta Tabuc; Rex Jimenez, 40, of Brgy X; and Marl Delco, all of Roxas Ciy.
Recovered from the suspects were 9 medium-sized and 8 small-sized heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu, P600 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.
Tiempo was the subject of the operation which was mounted after weeks of surveillance and monitoring by the police and PDEA agents.
On June 26, 2022, Tiempo got injured on the left portion of his breast after he was shot by an unidentified suspect while buying a cigarette in a store.
Investigation Agent 3 Jose Ramir Batuigas, assistant provincial officer of PDEA-Aklan, said that suspected drug peddlers arrested in Aklan operations confessed that they got their supply of illegal drugs from Capiz.
Because of the information, police and PDEA intensified their monitoring on Tiempo and Losanta.
The four are presently in the custody of PDEA-Capiz while charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 are being readied against them.
