PDEA nabs six persons in ‘drug den’

BACOLOD City – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Negros Occidental dismantled an alleged drug den and arrested six persons in a buy-bust operation at Hervias 3, Barangay Villamonte here last Sunday.
The operation was conducted in coordination with the Regional Special Enforcement Team (RSET) against the subject identified as 46-year-old Abner Recosalem.
Five other individuals believed to be engaging in illegal drugs were also caught inside Recosalem’s house during the operation.
PDEA agents confiscated from them 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000, marked money, an improvised tooter, and cash believed to be proceeds of the illegal transaction.
Meanwhile, 13 persons were also arrested here and in Negros Occidental from July 17 to 21, resulting in the seizure of P419,312 worth of suspected shabu.
The drug bust operations were conducted in Barangay Estefania here, and the cities of Victorias, Himamaylan, La Carlota, and San Carlos, and the towns of E.B. Magalona, Binalbagan, Pontevedra, Calatrava, and Valladolid in the province.
