BACOLOD City – The Philippine Drug Enforcement (PDEA)-Negros Occidental arrested a woman in a buy-bust at Ylagan Extension, Barangay 5, San Carlos City last Sunday after receiving information through PDEA’s text hotline.
The operation in coordination with San Carlos City Police Station led to the arrest of Erlinda Palabrica, 32, of the said village.
Authorities recovered from Palabrica around five grams of suspected shabu worth P34,000, and the P500 marked money.
According to PDEA, the operation was carried out from a report sent via a text message through ‘Isumbong Mo kay Wilkins!’ platform.
The platform was created to allow the public to report illegal drug activities in their neighborhood through the agency’s 24/7 call and text hotlines.
Palabrica will be facing drug charges.
