PBA commissioner Willie Marcial together with the board officially launched their official campaign “Ituloy ang Laban” vs COVID-19 campaign.
With COVID-19 cases still increasing in the Philippines, the whole PBA community showed its full support to the PH government regarding their fight against the virus.
The #PBAituloyAngLaban trended on social media since their official campaign release on Wednesday with players and coaches mass sharing the hashtag in their accounts.
“Inilunsad natin ang #PBAituloyanglaban upang bigyang diin ang kahalagahan ng pagsunod nating lahat sa mga safety protocols na ipinatutupad ng gobyerno,” said Marcial.
Marcial further explained that what the the league can do to help so far in these trying time is to help advocate the health and safety protocols imposed by the government to combat COVID-19.
The decrease in the number of those infected with the virus is the only way that quarantine levels may ease, the only good sign in the resumption of the PBA.
“Nag-meeting kami with coaches and players na tulungan din tayo na sabihan natin ang taong-bayan na magtulong-tulong para sa ating bansa na mapababa natin ang cases,” Marcial added.
As of now, Marcial has only planned regarding the team’s return to practice, with Batangas one of the venues eyed and subject to approval.
