The former 2019 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Rookie Draft first overall pick will no longer remain in the Philippines and is set to take his talents to the Japan B. League.
In a report first released by Spin.ph, Terrafirma top pick swingman Roosevelt Adams will no longer extend his contract in the PBA and will sign with a team in the Japan B. League.
According to Spin.ph’s Gerry Ramos, the Filipino-American hooper is set to sign with a Division II team in the B. League.
Previously, it was also confirmed that Adams refused to sign his two-year contract extension with Terrafirma and is still a free agent.
During his two-year stint with Terrafirma, Adams averaged 4.75 points per game, 3.75 rebounds per game, and 0.25 assists per game.
The 27-year-old Fil-Am logged 20.03 minutes of playing time per game and has helped the Terrafirma team to an almost playoff contention run during the last PBA Philippine Cup bubble.
Adams teamed up with prolific scorers Juami Tiongson and last year Rookie Draft no. 1 pick Joshua Munzon during his tenure with the Terrafirma squad but failed to push for a playoff campaign since 2019.
