The Philippine Basketball Association will be awarding the Defensive Player of the Year to Northport Batang Pier’s Mr. Do-it-all, Sean Anthony.
Blessings keep on pouring in for Anthony after the PBA also named him as a member of the Mythical first team, the first time he was selected in his career, and a spot in the All-Defensive team.
These accolades Anthony garnered will be awarded to him in the upcoming PBA Press Corps Awards Night which will be held right after the enhanced community quarantine.
The Awards Night was originally scheduled last March 16, 2020 but right after President Rodrigo Duterte issued the enhanced community quarantine, all sports and events were canceled.
Those who will be awarded during the prestigious event will be San Miguel Beermen’s Terrence Romeo with Quality Minutes, CJ Perez of the Columbian Dyip as the league’s Scoring Champion, June Mar Fajardo with the Order of Merit, and both Northport and NLEX with the Game of the Season.
For the All-Rookie team, the awardees are Perez, Robert Bolick, Javee Mocon, Bobby Ray Parks, and Abu Tratter while Thirdy Ravena and Hesed Gabo will be awarded with their MVP plums during the PBA D-League.
