After reaching out to Philippine Basketball Association’s commissioner Mr. Willie Marcial, Calvin Abueva was given the go signal to return to his team in the PBA, the Phoenix Fuel Masters.
It was also noted that Abueva already finished his tasked number of hours of community service in line with his suspension.
Abueva was granted permission allowing him to join the Fuel Masters in their practices in what is seen to be a step in his return to the PBA hardwood.
Without Abueva, the Fuel Masters are in a losing skid, starting their 2019 Governor’s cup campaign winless at 0-2.
“This is super good news. Kasi ngayon at least may natatanaw ka nang liwanag doon sa dulo ng tunnel,“ Head coach of Phoenix Louis Alas said.
Abueva was slapped with an indefinite suspension after being involved in back-to-back on-court issues that included an incident where Abueva clotheslined TNT import Terrence Jones.
