Patrick Sleat bids FEU farewell after completing transfer to Perpetual Help

Scrappy swingman Patrick Sleat just departed the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws basketball program and is ready to reinforce the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.

It was Sleat who confirmed the development in the collegiate hoops off-season after sharing some snippets of his transfer on his Instagram stories.

Sleat, who spent most of his basketball career with the Tamaraws after entering its varsity program in his high school year up to college, will reunite with his former mentor Olsen Racela who handled him during his rookie year with FEU.

Known for his tenacity and all-out energy whenever deployed inside the hardwood, Perpetual expects big things from Sleat following a mass exodus the program experienced after the recently concluded NCAA hoops season.

The Perpetual Altas tertiary hoops squad will be entering the next NCAA season without the services of Jun Roque, Mark Omega, Cyrus Nitura, Carlo Ferreras, and Joey Barcuma.

After playing key roles for Perpetual during their NCAA campaign, the pack surprisingly decided to exit the basketball program and will be heading to different schools.

Sleat and some upcoming additions will attempt to fill the void they left. However, the forward will sit out the season due to residency rules.

Last UAAP Season 86, Sleat averaged decent numbers for the Tamaraws and tallied 7.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per contest.

Before their player haul, Perpetual first fortified their coaching staff by hiring Racela as the chief tactician and will be working hand-in-hand with Richard del Rosario, Barangay Ginebra San Miguel’s assistant coach.
