BACOLOD City – A pastor was injured after he was shot by two alleged robbers in a church at Sitio Tabangka, Barangay Tan-awan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental last Wednesday.
Police identified the victim as Abner Navarro, 58, of the said village.
Investigation indicated that Navarro and his brother-in-law were awoken by a ray of light from an alleged flashlight outside the church.
When Navarro stood to check the person outside, gunshot was heard.
Navarro then shouted that he was hit while his brother-in law saw the persons outside and identified them as a certain “Totong Andana”, 22, and a certain “Nonoy Andana”, 18, both residents of the said village.
The victim suffered a lone gunshot wound in the left portion of his body. He is now stable and recuperating at a hospital.
The two suspects are still at large.
