BACOLOD City – A pastor was gunned down by four unidentified armed men at Sitio Pinus-an, Barangay Camindangan, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental Tuesday morning.
Killed was Lonie Lahaolahao, 54, of the said village.
Investigation showed that the victim was driving a tricycle on his way home, along with his wife, when they were waylaid by the armed men.
The gunmen shot the victim several times which caused his immediate death. His wife was unharmed.
Police recovered from the scene a fired empty shell of .45 caliber pistol.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Necerato Sabando Jr., city police chief, said 10 armed men previously went to the victim’s house in December 2018 and looked for firearms.
When they failed to recover anything, they just left, until the shooting happened yesterday.
Sabando said the victim was alleged to be an informant of the military.
