BACOLOD City – Abang Lingkod Partylist Congressman Stephen Paduano expressed optimism that the General Appropriations Act of 2021 will be passed before 2020 ends.
Paduano told Daily Guardian Sunday that they are waiting for the Senate to finish its deliberations on the GAA after the House of Representatives passed its version of the national budget.
What is important is that the approval of the GAA in the Lower House was not railroaded because majority of the congressmen supported the leadership of newly-elected House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco,” he added.
Paduano said the partylist groups as well as the regional blocs in the Lower House supported Velasco in his recent “rift” with former House Speaker Allan Cayetano.
