BACOLOD City – Morning joggers and exercise enthusiasts can now do their thing at the Panaad Park and Stadium.
Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said Tuesday that Panaad Park and Stadium located at Barangay Mansilingan her has been re-opened to the public following a two-month closure due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) crisis.
The governor said that the park has been re-opened to the public after the National Inter-Agency Task Force allowed the resumption of non-contact sports and exercises in areas placed under general community quarantine or its modified version.
Sporting and exercise activities allowed to resume are walking, jogging, running, biking, swimming, badminton, tennis, golf, equestrian, and skateboarding.
He lamented though that reports reached him that senior citizens were not allowed to play tennis.
“I hope they will allow it, like me I am 60 years old but I still walk around,” Lacson said.
