ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 30-year-old painter and his minor companion were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation Tuesday afternoon at Brgy. Banica here.
Four sachets of suspected illegal drugs worth P1,600 were recovered from Jonathan Villaruz and a 15-year-old boy.
The Station Drug Enforcement Team of the Roxas City Police Station also recovered from the suspects P1,000 marked money and several drug paraphernalia.
Villaroz denied owning the seized items saying that they were set up by the police.
According to the mother of the arrested minor, her son did not use drugs.
The two were taken to the Roxas City police station while charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) were filed against the suspects.
