BACOLOD City Senator Manny Pacquiao invited Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia to be part of his entourage in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA where he is set to defend his WBA welterweight title against Adrien Broner.
Copies of the letter were shared to city hall reporters on Jan 9, 2019.
Once again, may I invite you to come into the ring with me, together with a few other trusted friends, to carry the Philippine flag before the fight begins, Pacquiao said in the letter to Leonardia.
As in my many previous fights your presence in the right will be a great moral support for me, particularly as this promise to be an exciting fight knowing that Broner is a 4-division title holder.
Pacquiao said that he is also inviting Leonardias wife Elsa and daughter Loren Kara to join his cheering squad in the ringside together with his family and friends.
My inspiration to do my best comes when I can feel the support of my fellow Filipinos and especially my family and friends like you in the crowd, rooting for me, Pacquiao said.
