BACOLOD City – A man died while his six-months old son was wounded in a gun attack at Sitio Campaclan, Barangay Poblacion , Sibulan, Negros Oriental on Wednesday.
Killed was Reynold Paquit, 34. Police withheld the name of his minor-son.
Based on the initial report of Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (Norppo), Paquit was holding his baby in front of his house past 7 p.m. when four unidentified armed men on two motorcycles arrived and shot him.
Nine gunshots were heard, hitting Paquit on different parts of his body. His baby was hit on his left leg.
Both victims were brought to the hospital, where Paquit was declared dead.
Police recovered from the scene nine cartridges of .45-caliber ammunition. Investigation is ongoing.
