Police identified the fatalities as Carlos Era, 70, and his daughter Merly Lahay-Lahay, 48.
Carlos’s daughter Egie Era, 38, was wounded.
Police Lieutenant Arturo Margallo Jr., deputy police chief of Himamaylan City Police Station, said the suspect identified as Danny Lahay-Lahay, 50, of Kabankalan City, went to the house of Carlos early that day and allegedly suddenly attacked Merly with a bolo.
Margallo said that Egie helped her father Carlos and pacified Danny but the latter also allegedly hacked them.

Margallo said that Merly and Danny are in-laws.
