BACOLOD City – Police seized about P782,000 worth of suspected shabu in two separate buy-bust operations here over the weekend.
Rolly Moncillo of Barangay 14 here was arrested after he allegedly yielded around 100 grams of suspected shabu in a drug bust at Barangay 31 yesterday. His companion fled, according to the police.
Police also recovered the P1,000 marked money, and a .22-caliber revolver.
Moncillo, who was tagged as a high value individual, is detained at Police Station 6. He has yet to comment on the allegations against him.
Meanwhile, Rommel Tacuyan, 28, and his live-in partner Salve Macalle, 27, both residents of Barangay 2 here, were arrested along with six others, including a 17-year-old boy during a police raid on an alleged drug den at the said village last Saturday.
Police Lieutenant Andy Ofalia, deputy station commander of Police Station 2, said that Tacuyan was the subject of the operation.
Authorities confiscated from them 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000, P1,000, P5,000 boodle money, and drug paraphernalia.
All eight suspects are detained at Police Station 2.
