BACOLOD City – A man with an alias “Champion” did not win against the authorities after he was busted with 92 grams of suspected shabu worth P625,600 in Barangay Magatas, Sibulan, Negros Oriental last Saturday.
Police identified the subject as Archie Alviola, 44, of Barangay Cadawinonan, Dumaguete City.
He is a listed high-value individual, according to the police.
Joint operatives of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), along with the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU)-7 and Sibulan Municipal Police Station, conducted the operation.
Also confiscated from him were a digital weighing scale and the P1,000 marked money.
Meanwhile, a man was also arrested after he allegedly yielded 10 grams of suspected shabu worth P68,000 in a drug bust in Barangay Singcang-Airport here last Sunday. He is detained at Police Station 8.
