P624,000 worth of drugs seized in 6 days

BACOLOD City – Policemen here and in Negros Occidental continue to operate against drug peddlers despite also being one of the frontliners in the fight against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
Authorities were able to seize P624,900 worth of illegal drugs and arrested 23 persons here and in the province since March 18 to 23.
Of the total figure, Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) has confiscated P461,900 worth of drugs while Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) has recovered P163,000 worth of the said drugs.
Bacolod has arrested 11 persons in separate buy-bust operations at Barangays 2, 3, 8, 13, 26, and Estefania. These operations were conducted by Police Stations 2, 3, 4, and 8.
For Negros Occidental, 12 persons were apprehended in the cities of Himamaylan, Talisay, Silay, Victorias, and Kabankalan, and in the towns of Binalbagan and Toboso, in the past six days.
