BACOLOD City – More than 1 kilo of suspected shabu worth P6.9 million was seized in a buy-bust operation at Sitio Canday-ong, Barangay Calindagan, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental last Tuesday.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-7 identified the subject as Fernando Saraga, 54.
According to PDEA, the suspect was arrested in 2012 and was released in 2016 through plea bargaining.
PDEA conducted the operation against Saraga through a report from a confidential informant.
It took them almost six months to launch the operation against the suspect, the PDEA said.
PDEA alleged that the suspect can dispose of one kilo of illegal drugs a month.
Drug charges are being readied against the suspect.
