P588,200 worth of shabu seized in Bacolod, Negros Occidental

BACOLOD CITY – Police seized an estimated P588,200 worth of suspected shabu in separate buy-bust operations in Bacolod and Negros Occidental last Thursday.
In Bacolod, operatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) Special Operations Unit (SOU)-6 arrested a 26-year-old suspect, known by the alias “Crew,” from Barangay Tangub.
Authorities confiscated 60.5 grams of suspected shabu valued at P411,400.
The suspect, identified as a high-value individual, had been under surveillance for several weeks, according to PDEG. He is currently detained at Police Station 8.
In Kabankalan City, two men, aged 24 and 27, from Ilog town and Kabankalan City, respectively, were apprehended in Barangay Binicuil.
Police recovered 26 grams of suspected shabu worth P176,800, along with P500 in marked money, two improvised tooters, and a digital weighing scale.
