P580-K ‘shabu’ seized, 17 nabbed

BACOLOD City – Seventeen persons were arrested, resulting in the seizure of P580,592 worth of suspected shabu in separate buy-bust operations here and in Negros Occidental from Feb. 6 to 11.
The bulk of the total drug recovery amounting to P409,632 was reported here.
Eight persons were arrested in Barangays 2, 12, Mansilingan, Villamonte, Singcang-Airport, and Banago here, under Police Stations 2, 1, 7, 4, 8, and 3, respectively.
The buy-bust operation in Barangay Banago contributed to the big seizure of illegal drugs here, after a former drug offender was again arrested for the confiscation of P249,832 worth of suspected shabu on Feb. 10.
In the province, nine individuals were apprehended, while P170,960 worth of suspected shabu were seized.
The police operations were conducted in the cities of La Carlota, Bago, Escalante, Silay, and Himamaylan, and the towns of San Enrique, and Binalbagan.
