BACOLOD City – Police arrested six persons here and in Negros Occidental in the past three days for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
A total of P59,684 worth of suspected shabu and suspected marijuana were seized in separate buy-bust operations from May 11 to 13.
For Bacolod, three persons were apprehended in Barangays Villamonte, 31, and Singcang-Airport, which resulted in the recovery of P51,040 worth of suspected shabu.
In Barangay Villamonte, Jonel Yanson, 37, was arrested last Tuesday for alleged possession of five sachets of suspected shabu worth P12,240, and the P200 marked money. He is detained at Police Station 4.
The following day, 39-year-old Jail Vallespin was arrested at Barangay Singcang-Airport.
Personnel of Police Station 8 seized four sachets of suspected shabu worth P15,000, and the P500 marked money.
In Barangay 31, Joel Juele, 35, of Barangay 27 here was apprehended yesterday in an inn after he allegedly yielded 12 sachets of suspected shabu worth P23,800, and the P500 marked money. He is detained at Police Station 6.
In the province, three persons were arrested in the towns of Hinigaran and Murcia, and La Carlota City, after police seized from them P8,684 worth of suspected shabu and suspected marijuana.
