ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Seven persons were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation around 11:20 p.m. Tuesday at San Roque St., Brgy. Inzo here.
The operation was led by Police Lt. Glenn Soliman of the RPDEU6 Team 3 and Capiz PDEU under Police Maj. Francisco Paguia.
The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit and Provincial Drug Enforcement-Capiz swooped down on the house of Anthony Tullo, in San Roque St., Barangay Inzo Arnaldo Village.
Police recovered from the house 14 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 70 grams; PHP45,000 fake bills used as marked money; cellphones, and drug paraphernalia.
The seized substance was valued at PHP500,000.
Tullo managed to flee by jumping out of a window but police nabbed Jan Drew Villanueva, 27; Jaymar Abiero, 20; John Klent Bermejo20; and Julex Alisla, 40; all residents of Mejorada Subdivision also in Barangay Inzo Arnaldo Village here; Eugene Danieles of Barangay Baybay, Roxas City; Elmer Arrojado, 42; of Barangay Banica, Roxas City and Rogel Jose, 38; of Burgos Ilawod, Roxas City.
The seven were caught in the middle of a “pot session” inside Tullo’s house.
The suspects and the recovered items were brought to Iloilo City for examination by the PNP Crime Laboratory.
Charges for violations of RA 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 were filed against them.
