BACOLOD City – Two persons were arrested for possessing P448,800 worth of suspected shabu in separate buy-bust operations here Thursday night.
Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) nabbed Eric Mugdan, 48, of Barangay 4, after he allegedly yielded 63 grams of suspected shabu worth P428,400, the P1,000 marked money, and P150 cash.
Police Lieutenant Joven Mogato, CDEU head, said Mugdan is considered a high value individual because the substance recovered from him was more than 50 grams.
Mogato said Mugdan’s brother was also previously jailed for a drug offense but was already released after serving his sentence.
Mogato said the contraband may have been sourced outside the city.
“Kis-a may ga dul-ong lang sa iya or ga meet-up man siya,” he added.
Mugdan is detained at Police Station 2.

Police seized from Padernal three grams of suspected shabu worth P20,400, and the P500 marked money.
