BACOLOD City – About 65 grams of suspected shabu worth P442,000 were seized in a buy-bust operation at Sitio Pahilanga, Barangay Miranda, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental yesterday.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Negros Occidental identified the subject as 53-year-old Dioscoro Gatoteo Jr.
The operation yielded several plastic sachets of suspected shabu, the P1,000 marked money, and P18.
According to PDEA, this operation stands as a significant achievement in the ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug trade in the area, furthering the commitment to maintaining the safety and security of the community.
The operation was jointly conducted by the Philippine National Police (PNP) Drug Enforcement Group (DEG), PDEA-Negros Occidental, and Hinigaran Municipal Police Station.
Drug charges are being readied against the suspect.
