Police Regional Office 6 Director, Brigadier General Jack L. Wanky, praised the City Drug Enforcement Unit of the Iloilo City Police Office for seizing approximately 60 grams of suspected shabu worth P408,000 on the evening of May 27, 2024, at Barangay Muelle, Loney, City Proper, Iloilo City.
“I recognize your commendable endeavor. Continue your vigilance and double our efforts to eradicate illegal drugs here in the region,” said PBGen Wanky.
The suspect, known as Toknoy, 39, is tagged as a high-value individual. Police recovered 16 sachets of suspected shabu and the buy-bust money during the operation.
According to police operatives, the suspect acted as a courier and used a ‘kaliwaan’ mode of transaction.
The suspect is now in the custody of Iloilo City Police Station 1 and will be charged with violating Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
