P408,000 worth of ‘shabu’ seized in Talisay City

BACOLOD City – Some 60 grams of suspected shabu worth P408,000 was seized in a buy-busy at Purok Mapalaron, Barangay Zone 12, Talisay City, Negros Occidental yesterday.

Joint operatives of Talisay and Silay City Police Stations also arrested Raymund Horario of Purok Ipil-Ipil, Barangay Mambulac, Silay City.

Horario is a high-value individual, police records indicated.

Authorities recovered from the suspect 11 sachets of suspected shabu and P3,500 marked money.

Police Major Jigger Gimeno, city police chief, said Horario was the alleged caretaker of the contraband of Michael Divinagracia, who is Silay City’s top drug personality.

Gimeno said the suspect rented a house in Talisay City to hide from the authorities in Silay because of their intensified anti-illegal drug campaign there.

Horario has been staying in Talisay for almost two months now, the police chief added.

Gimeno said the suspect acts as a “bodegero” or stock keeper and distributes the items to Bacolod and Silay areas.

Drug charges are being readied against the suspect.
