BACOLOD City – Police seized about P402,350 worth of suspected shabu from 14 persons here and in Negros Occidental during the Holy Week from March 29 to April 4.
Of the total amount, P273,440 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated from eight persons here, while P128,910 worth of the said contraband was recovered from six individuals in the province.
The buy-bust operations in the province were conducted at the cities of La Carlota, Victorias, Talisay, and Cadiz, with the biggest drug haul reported in San Carlos City, amounting to P88,400 on April 1.
In Bacolod, the drug bust operations were conducted at Barangays 2, 8, Felisa, Taculing, and Singcang-Airport, by personnel of Police Stations 4, 2, 10, 5, 6, and 8.
Singcang-Airport village had the highest drug recovery of P180,000 from Ariel Francisco, 46, of Barangay 35; and Jake Caniendo, 31, of Barangay Bata last Thursday.
