BACOLOD City – Seventeen persons were arrested in separate buy-bust operations here and in Negros Occidental from July 1 to 9.
The operations resulted in the total confiscation of P369,566 worth of suspected shabu in the past 10 days.
The bulk of the drug recovery amounting to P301,566 was reported in the province, particularly in the cities of San Carlos, Kabankalan, La Carlota, Victorias, Cadiz, Kabankalan, and Talisay, and the towns of Pontevedra, Hinigaran, and Manapla.
Twelve persons, including a top 1 drug personality of La Carlota City were apprehended in the province.
In Bacolod, five persons were arrested in Barangay Tangub by personnel of Police Station 8 on July 9, following the seizure of P68,000 worth of suspected shabu.
