BACOLOD City – Police arrested 20 persons in separate anti-illegal drug operations here and in Negros Occidental from Feb. 22 to 26.
The most number of apprehensions was recorded in the province with the arrest of 19 drug suspects, while only one was arrested here.
An estimated total of P292,270 worth of suspected shabu were confiscated in the province, while P44,200 worth of the same contraband was seized here.
For the province, the series of buy-bust operations were conducted in the cities of Silay, Victorias, Sagay, Himamaylan, Cadiz, and Talisay, and the towns of Calatrava, Manapla, Pulupandan, Hinigaran, Murcia, Isabela, and Hinoba-an.
In Bacolod, personnel of Police Station 3 conducted a drug bust in Barangay Banago on Feb. 23.
