BACOLOD City – An estimated total of P331,000 worth of suspected shabu were seized in separate buy-bust operations here and in Negros Occidental from July 29 to August 1, 2019.
Of the total figure, P179,000 in shabu or crystal meth were seized here while P152,000 were confiscated in the province.
The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) arrested eight persons while the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) collared seven persons, including a 16-year-old boy.
Police Station 2 here made the biggest drug haul amounting to P70,000 worth of suspected shabu from Rodrigo Sancho, 28, and Reynaldo Barredo, 49, both residents of Barangay 1.
Also recovered from them in the July 29 drug bust at the said village was a .22-caliber revolver with three ammunition pieces.
In Negros Occidental, George Darwin Bugalon, 26, of Kabankalan City; and Melody Abad, 20, a native of northern Samar, and presently residing in Kabankalan City were arrested at Barangay 3 on July 29, which resulted in the recovery of P96,000 worth of suspected shabu.
