ROXAS CITY, Capiz – More or less P300,000 worth of properties were lost when four rooms of Beehive Inn on Plaridel St., Barangay 8 here was gutted by fire Sunday early morning. No one was hurt in the incident.
According to FO2 Philamer Distura, arson investigator of the Roxas City fire station, the fire allegedly came from the ceiling.
The fire also gobbled the house rented by Jude Guycoa.
The fire erupted past 12 a.m. and was put under control past 1am.
Annabel Gregorio, caretaker of the lodging house, said she was sleeping when she was awakened by some residents alerting her of the fire.
The Roxas City Fire station and Capiz Citizen Action Group (CAGAG) helped quell the fire.
The lodging is owned by businessman Armando Fuentes.
