PANAY, CAPIZ – Some P30,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized from a 38-year-old person in a drug bust operation here.
The team from the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) and Panay Municipal Police Station arrested Michael Fiona of Brgy. Inzo Arnaldo here in a buy-bust operation conducted at Barangay Bato, Panay, Capiz last May 21.
Recovered from the Fiona were five sachets of suspected shabu with estimated market value at P30,000; P500 marked money; fake money used in the buy-bust, and a motorcycle.
The suspect is presently detained at the Panay police station while charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against him.
