P220-K worth of illegal drugs seized in Roxas City bust

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Three individuals were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation at Brgy. Tiza here around 3:15 a.m. on August 16, 2023.
Police Captain Glenn Soliman of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) said the buy-bust operation was conducted at the rented house of Shayne Iver So, 22, in Malipayon Village, Tiza.
Soliman claimed that So was on the region’s police watchlist for illegal drug trade.
Also arrested in the operation were Nelfa Alindajao, 20, of Brgy Baybay, the alleged live-in partner of So; and Rolan Malones, 23, of Brgy 10, all in Roxas City.
Recovered from the suspects were 8 sachets of suspected shabu including the sachet bought by the police poseur-buyer, P6,000 marked money, a pouch, a coin purse, P700 cash in different denominations, a cellphone, and suspected drug paraphernalia.
Soliman said the recovered illegal drugs weighed 33 grams and were valued at P224,400.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) will be filed against the suspects who are in the custody of the Roxas Component City Police Station.
