Over 200 of the country’s top darters are expected to gather in Iloilo City for the Haboyanay sa Ciudad de Iloilo 2025, a national-ranking darts tournament offering PHP 200,000 in prizes as part of Iloilo City’s Charter Day celebrations from August 22 to 24, 2025.
The Iloilo Darts Federation, in coordination with the National Darts Federation of the Philippines (NDFP), is hosting the multi-day tournament at the Dungon A Covered Court Uswag Gym along Sen. Benigno Aquino Jr. Avenue.
The tournament is sanctioned as an NDFP national-ranking event, which means wins here will earn players ranking points for the official Philippine darts circuit.
Mayor Raisa Treñas-Chu expressed full support for the tournament, emphasizing that the event highlights not only skill and competition but also fosters camaraderie among darters across the country, while boosting local sports tourism.
Senator Bong Go, a major backer of grassroots sports development, also extended his support, stating that events like these “bring our communities together and empower local athletes to dream big.”
Six official events will unfold across three days—Classified Draw Doubles 501, Classified Free Person Team 701, Classified Triples 701, Seniors Singles 501, Youth Singles 501, Ladies Singles 501, and Open Singles 501.
The entry fees range from PHP 100 to PHP 500, with the Classified Free Person Team 701 having the highest prize pot at PHP 60,000, including PHP 24,000 for the champion.
The Open Singles, considered the premier event, will award PHP 10,000 for a perfect 3-dart out in addition to regular prizes—making it a magnet for elite talent across the country.
Youths aged 18 years and below and seniors aged 60 and above can join their respective events free of charge, provided they present a valid ID with their date of birth.
Winners across all events will be determined through single knockout matches, with championship rounds played as a best-of-seven series.
PMC and tournament partner Robson Sportscraft have confirmed that the official dartboard will be the Robson Razor Bladewire Dartboard, a preferred board among professional darters for its durability and precision wiring.
Sponsors include Boysen Paints, More Power Iloilo, IBC Builders, RHC Builders Corp., Daily Guardian, Synex Advertising, and K5 Catering Services, signaling strong community and business support for the event.
“This tournament is proof of Iloilo’s rising prominence in the Philippine darts scene,” said tournament organizer Juan Jose “JJ” Jamora IV, noting a surge in regional participation.
For inquiries, participants may contact JJ Jamora IV at 0917-132-9106 or Warlito “Wawa” Escaner Jr. at 0969-909-5197.
With high-caliber play, significant cash prizes, and growing national attention, Haboyanay sa Ciudad de Iloilo 2025 is poised to hit the bullseye as one of the year’s most anticipated darts events.
