BACOLOD City – Seven persons were arrested and P196,440 worth of suspected shabu were seized in separate buy-bust operations here and in Negros Occidental from Nov 14 to 17, 2021.
Three persons were nabbed in drug busts conducted by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) and Police Station 4 here.
Frederick Dumalaoco, 50, and Wilfred Languido, 26, both residents of Barangay 2 here were arrested at the said village Wednesday after CDEU operatives recovered from them eight sachets of suspected shabu worth P156,400, and the P500 marked money.
Police claimed that Dumalaoco is a street level drug peddler.
On that same day, Steve Bais, 29, of Barangay Villamonte, believed to be a high value target, was apprehended by Police Station 4 after he allegedly yielded P38,000 worth of suspected shabu.
Police also seized from Bais a .38 caliber revolver with two ammunitions, a bladed weapon, and boodle or fake money.
Meanwhile, four persons were arrested in a drug bust in Escalante City on Sunday, Nov 14, that resulted in the seizure of P2,040 worth of suspected shabu.
