Police Lieutenant Colonel Roberto Indiape Jr., Sagay City police chief, said that an attendant of the gas station discovered that the P195,000 cash sales from the vault inside the staff house were missing.
Indiape said that the attendant left the staff house to buy food and when he came back the money was already missing.
An unidentified perpetrator allegedly passed through the door while the other employee was busy attending to some customers.
Indiape said the closed circuit television (CCTV) camera in the staff house or their office was not functioning.
Indiape said the incident happened in broad daylight, thus, there were a lot of people in the area.
He said they will have to investigate more to check if indeed someone sneaked into the office.
