BACOLOD City – Policemen here seized a total of P174,000 worth of illegal drugs in three separate buy-bust operations in the past three days.
The biggest recovery was from the operation in Barangay 2 on May 8, with P84,000 worth of suspected shabu.
The arrested suspects were Neil Sitjar Jr., 34, of Talisay City, a newly-identified drug personality; and Cha Turbanos, 48, of Barangay 14, this city.
Police recovered from them 22 sachets of suspected shabu weighing seven grams, and the P200 marked money.
Both suspects are detained at Police Station 2.
In Singcang-Airport village, James Brisuela, Johnny Ape, and Constantio Advincula were arrested on May 7 after they allegedly yielded nine sachets of suspected shabu worth P75,000, drug paraphernalia, and the P500 marked money.
On May 9, Mark Allan Moya, 20, of Barangay Villamonte; and Aubrey Fuentes, 20, of Barangay Estefania were arrested at Barangay Handumanan which resulted in the recovery of three sachets of suspected shabu worth P15,000, and the P200 marked money.
Both suspects are detained at Police Station 10.
