BACOLOD City – Two alleged drug personalities were arrested for alleged possession of P170,000 worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation at Barangay 2, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental last Tuesday.
Joint operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU)-6, San Carlos City Police Station, and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Anti-Illegal Drugs Team collared Rolito Chiu, 22, of Barangay 6; and Delfin Luague, 35, of Barangay 5, according to a report of Police Regional Office (PRO)-6.
Police Lieutenant Isidro Victor Anjoe Villarosa, RPDEU-6 operating team leader identified Chiu as a high value individual while Luage was previously charged for a drug offense and was imprisoned at the New Bilibid Prison for 10 years.
PRO-6 reported that Chiu was the target of the operation. He allegedly sold suspected shabu to a police agent, while Luage was the one who reportedly received the P10,000 marked money during the transaction.
Police recovered from Chiu a pouch containing five sachets of suspected shabu weighing 25 grams, while authorities confiscated from Luage the marked money.
Both suspects are detained at San Carlos City Police Station.
