ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Around P150,000 worth of assorted jewelry and other valuables were stolen by unidentified suspects from an apartment at Mendoza Village, Brgy. Banica here around 3:30 pm on May 24, 2023.
Erma Young, 47, claimed ownership of the missing jewelry.
Police investigation indicated that the suspects entered the apartment by climbing the back portion of the building.
Among the stolen jewelry and items were: a gold necklace with cross pendant worth P15,000; a gold necklace with ruby and sapphire stone pendant worth P10,000; a gold bracelet with heart shape worth P5,000; 2 pairs of gold earrings worth P20,000; gray iPad PRO1 2020 worth P55,000; gray Acer laptop worth P30,000; and Persian cat worth P15,000.
The police have identified two suspects, including a 15-year-old minor, who are residents of Sitio Tambak, Brgy. 7 here.
According to retired police officer Glenn Hervias, two weeks before the incident happened, he found four male individuals believed to be minors roaming around the apartment.
Hervias positively identified the persons that roamed around the apartment when the Roxas City police showed him pictures of alleged “rogue individuals.”
