Each family-beneficiary received P5,000 from the National Housing Authority.
Board Member Jeffrey Tubola, who represented the provincial government, led the series of distribution of financial assistance to three clustered areas located at the Sipalay City gym, as well as covered courts of barangays Montilla and Mambaroto.
Implemented under the NHA’s Special Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP), more than P35 million was already distributed by the provincial government to 6,828 typhoon victims, whose houses had been destroyed, in cities of Cadiz and Victorias, Pontevedra, Ilog and Isabela, in the past two weeks.
Following the devastation brought about by typhoon Odette, the provincial government also distributed P50 million worth of housing materials and food packs to victims in Hinobaan, Sipalay City, Cauayan, Ilog, Isabela and Hinigaran.
Another distribution of similar assistance is set on June 13 in Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
