ROXAS CITY, Capiz— Employees of the Capiz provincial capitol will receive additional perks after the provincial government qualified for the performance-based bonus (PBB) in 2020.
Capiz Gov Nonoy Evan Contreras said the provincial government has allocated P15.5 million for the PBB.
“May daku nga pagabatunon ang mga empleyado sang aton provincial government sa performance based bonus kay 50% sina ang ila nga mabaton kag dugang nga ayuda,” Contreras said.
The governor said Capiz is the lone local government unit in Western Visayas to be “eligible” for the PBB.
“It only shows our better management and cooperation of every department head and employee of the provincial government,” Contreras added.
Two Capiz municipalities, Ivisan and Panitan, are also eligible to receive the PBB.
Some 1,080 regular employees will get the PBB, said Provincial Budget Officer Antonio Arbis.
The Sangguniang Panlalawigan approved the budget during its regular session last Tuesday.
Under the local government code, the provincial government can allocate the benefit based on the approval by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
The bonus will be released on July 5, 2021.
