BACOLOD City – The Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU)- 6 seized around two kilos of suspected shabu worth P13.6 million in a buy-bust operation at Barangay Lag-asan, Bago City, Negros Occidental Thursday.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Joem Malong, spokesperson of Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 identified the arrested suspects as Radney Pidol, 38; and Raphy Pradilla, 28, both residents of Barangay 2, Silay City.
Malong said both suspects were identified as street level individuals and runners allegedly linked to a drug group operating in the province.
Based on a police report, the two suspects allegedly sold six sachets of suspected shabu for P100,000 to a police agent.
Malong said the two suspects had a companion identified as Rogie Senatin of Barangay Lantad, Silay City, who served as their lookout.
But Senatin managed to escape by driving towards the sugarcane plantation.
Malong said the area where the drug bust took place was at a residential subdivision, but there was a part there where tall grasses and sugarcane abound.
Also recovered by police were several empty plastic sachets used for repacking the illegal drugs, marked money, boodle money, digital weighing scale, cellular phone, and a motorcycle owned by the brother of one of the arrested suspects, Malong said.
The operation was also in coordination with Bago City Police Station that helped in intelligence gathering.
The arrested suspects are detained at Bago City Police Station for the filing of drug charges.
The suspects have yet to comment on the allegations against them.
