ROXAS CITY, Capiz— Some P1.5 million worth of properties went up in smoke after a house was razed by fire Tuesday afternoon at Brgy. Milibili here.
The house of William Vito Estallo, 68, at Sunrise Ville Urban in Barangay Milibili here was totally burned but no one was hurt when the fire erupted about 5:30 p.m.
Based on the investigation by the Bureau of Fire Protection Roxas (BFP-Roxas City), the fire allegedly started from one of the rooms and easily spread to the whole house.
Estallo told arson investigator that he saw the bed mattress in his children’s room ablaze. He tried extinguishing it but to no avail.
The residents helped put out the fire but the conflagration spread.BFP quelled the blaze around 6:19 p.m.
The BFP is still investigating the cause of the fire.
